Air Assault History
Air Assault Paintball’s founder had one simple goal when he decided to build AA in 2005: To build the greatest competition paintball facility in history of Minnesota. The original location in Maple Plain, Minnesota (approximately 20 minutes west of the Twin Cities), boasted Minnesota’s first indoor facility with a turfed playing surface, PSP/NPPL bunkers, and the largest retail shop in Minnesota.
Along with the formation of the Air Assault Factory paintball team, and it’s subsequent local, regional, and national victories, that goal was accomplished. It was at this point that Air Assault realized the importance of focusing on providing high-quality recreational paintball experiences in order to bring the sport more mainstream and to help build the next generation of enthusiasts.
With this in mind, Air Assault moved locations in the summer of 2014 to a building just south of downtown Saint Paul. It is the largest indoor paintball facility in the history of Minnesota paintball and features new urban warfare themed obstacles as well as classic speedball layouts.
